The main solver filters candidate words from a five-letter dataset, then scores likely next guesses using heuristic frequency data and Shannon entropy. In practice, that means the site tries to surface words that reveal more information, not just words that happen to fit.
Where Daily Data Comes From
The daily reference pages use site-maintained puzzle records and derived hint summaries rather than placeholder copy. Those records support date-based pages and related helper content. The current historical baseline begins from 2021-06-19.
